Prophet Ilias Hill is situated in between the two very appealing villages of Ano (upper) and Kato (lower) Korakiana. It is active all year round and two of the restaurants (Italian and Greek) are open in winter. In Kato Korakiana there is the best restaurant in Greece for the last five years which is named Etrusco. Both are really just a few moments away by car, or about a good 20-minute walk, a lovely start to the day in the cooler months to stroll to the bakery. Ipsos has as much nightlife as you could wish for, again some excellent restaurants (including Indian, Chinese and English) and has news stands, a small outlet of AB, the best supermarket in Greece and numerous other mini-markets, clothes and gift shops. The swimming is excellent from Ipsos beach and there are water-sports and boat excursions for a special day at sea. The delights of Corfu Town are within 20 minutes’ easy drive, similarly Kassiopi on the North East coast and the glorious beaches of Pelekas and Glyfada on the West coast. The marina for yacht enthusiasts is 15 minutes by car and the golf club just 20 minutes. Also, the hospital is 15 minutes.
