This unique piece of land is on a hill close to an old monastery 15th century built. Monasteries in Corfu are always located at the most magnificent spots with an uninterrupted view and easy access. It is a kind of tradition for the Greek Orthodox Church to own extremely valuable properties.
CorfuConstruction knowing very well the traditional architecture of this area and respecting the environment, has designed two luxury villas. These two villas have distance between them 4 meters. The design of the second villa with the code 16 offplan consist two storeys of 92 sq.m villa plus 72 semi-basement and a swimming pool of 40 sq.m.
It is hard to imagine a more unspoiled, beautiful or peaceful hill in such a convenient location on Corfu. Even more surprising is that it is only 3 minutes by car (2,5km) to the lively resort of Ipsos, with its huge beach and 5 minutes from Dassia beach which is around 5km distance. The concrete road in front of the plot has a very limited traffic and it is used a lot for horse riding. The Hill of Prophet Ilias lies a little way inland with stunning sea views, looking along the lovely north east coast towards the imposing mountain of Pantocratoras and onto hills clad in olive and cypress trees. A truly magical setting with its romantic ruin of a church, a bell tower which was built in the 15th century, perched on its hilltop setting. The plot is predominantly East-facing, and also enjoy the sunset. The terrain is olive grove, a mass of native tress and some fruit trees with exquisite blossom. Carpets of wild flowers surround you with wild cyclamen and irises bursting through even in January. There is a variety of bird life, with large birds of prey circling overhead. Also, there is likely to see some rabbits or other animals while you visit this plot. Prophet Ilias Hill is situated in between the two very appealing villages of Ano (upper) and Kato (lower) Korakiana. Kato Korakiana is a little closer with charming tavernas, a couple of excellent supermarkets, a butcher, coffee bars and a post office. It is active all year round and two of the restaurants (Italian and Greek) are open in winter.
In Kato Korakiana there is the best restaurant in Greece for the last five years which is named Etrusco. Moreover, there is the department of national gallery of Greece that you may pay a visit. Both are really just a few moments away by car, or about a good 20-minute walk, a lovely start to the day in the cooler months to stroll to the bakery. Ipsos has as much nightlife as you could wish for, again some excellent restaurants (including Indian, Chinese and English) and has news stands, a small outlet of AB, the best supermarket in Greece and numerous other mini-markets, clothes and gift shops. The swimming is excellent from Ipsos beach and there are water-sports and boat excursions for a special day at sea. The delights of Corfu Town are within 20 minutes’ easy drive, similarly Kassiopi on the North East coast and the glorious beaches of Pelekas and Glyfada on the West coast. The marina for yacht enthusiasts is 15 minutes by car and the golf club just 20 minutes. Also, the hospital is 15 minutes.
